Finding and Funding an SDA Home

Navigating Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) can be complex, but the right support makes all the difference.

This page is a dedicated space for NDIS participants, their Support Coordinators, family members, and Powers of Attorney to access essential information and connect with trusted professionals who can assist in securing an SDA home.

If you or your loved one requires SDA, the process begins with a Support Coordinator or Specialist Support Coordinator, who will guide you through eligibility and funding requirements.

A functional assessment from an Occupational Therapist is essential to demonstrate extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.

Once this assessment is completed, your NDIS Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or Planner will help submit your SDA funding request.

If your funding is approved, SDA providers and housing specialists can assist in finding a home that matches your needs.

Whether you are looking to rent an SDA property or modify an existing home to meet compliance requirements, we can connect you with industry experts, including SDA financial specialists, trust fund managers, and lenders who may be able to assist with investment or homeownership options.

This platform is designed to empower NDIS participants and their families by offering direct access to the professionals who can help.

If you’re ready to take the next step in finding the right SDA home, complete the form below, and we will connect you with the right people to support your journey.

Let's Navigate together!
